HFW: The Cocktail

Hermosillo Fashion Week has come to and end and what better way to say "see you later" than a cocktail party with some guests, have some delicious desserts and be able to meet and have a little talk with the designer Benito Santos. It was nice to meeting him and also know that there are some designer and a lot of cool people trying to make the mexican fashion industry bigger, better and bolder..

HFW: BENITO SANTOS

The Benito Santos fahion show of Hermosillo Fashion Week was the perfect end for this fashion shows. I have to admit that the whole show I was impatiently waiting for the amazing red dress that Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete worn when she was crowned as the most beautiful woman on earth. I wish I could have more event where I could use the dresses from this runway specially because I love the movement of the fabric in some onf them like the pink one, the beige one and of course the red one. This ws my first designer runway and be sure it wont be the last, so better watch out fashion world cause here I come...

HFW MEN'S FASHION : OVANDOS

 

Ovandos is a store for men sspecialized in shirts, suits and ties. The truth is that I wasn't very exited about this fashion show for me suit are all the same is really difficult they impress me but I actually enjoy the fashion show beside it was for the great models but also because they use simple suit outfits with cobalt blue, burgundy and purple on the ties, no ties or the infallible mix of white and black and some of them even lok more casual, that's one of the problems I have with suits, they tend to be a little bit too formal but they actually make them look very casual chic...

Fashion Weeks are one of the mayor events in fashion all around the world and we all know what are the biggest and important ones(New York, Paris, London and Milan). For a small city like mine, it has been always with local designers but ths time it has a mayor one (w will talk about that later but you probably already know). Hermosillo Fashion Weeks started with the runway of Ru Alta Costura by the designer Leonrdo Coello, his work is simple but elegant, colorful but no overwhelming, he makes great silhouettes with dresses that caught your eyes...

HERMOSILLO FASHION WEEK

Los Fashion Weeks han sido una tradición en el mundo de la moda, desde que se implementó el primero en la cuidad de Nueva York en el año de 1943 con el fin de desviar la atención que acaparaba la moda francesa durante la segunda guerra mundial cuando los experto de moda no podían viajar a París para ver desfiles.

La ¨Semana de la moda o Fashion week¨ generalmente se realizan dos veces al año, una durante los meses de Enero a Marzo y la otra durante Septiembre-Octubre para que los diseñadores puedan dar un adelanto de lo que serán sus colecciones de Otoño-Invierno y Primavera-Verano.

Hermosillo Fashion Week es una adaptación de los Fashion Weeks de las grandes ciudades con la diferencia de que este está abierto para promover los negocios y el espacio creativo para los profesionales del mundo de la moda a nivel local para promoverlo tanto local, nacional como internacionalmente. HFW no solo es una pasarela, sino que es un foro de venta, promoción y servicios sobre la moda para que México y el mundo entero tenga la oportunidad de explorar el negocio de la moda en el Noroeste de México.

Organizado por el Grupo EME que gracias a su interés de promover el talento joven por medio de sus pasarelas se creó este evento el cual creo que el concepto es muy bueno pero no lo han sabido explotar al máximo como podrían pero a mi parecer van por muy bien camino.

Hoy a las 4:00 pm (UTC/GMT -7 hr) comienza la jornada de Hermosillo Fashion Week que seguirá hasta el día de mañana en el Centro de las Artes de la Universidad de Sonora con la participación de Casa Doberman, Bianchi, Gustavo Guardado, Arturo Valdez, Michelle Morcas, Sylvia Bours, Monica Medica, Isa Valdez, Diana Neri y David Favilia.
