To all my family, friends and also to you, my readers. May this day be an excuse to share a wonderful time with your beloved ones. A time to be grateful for the blessings we have everyday by being healthy, loved and alive, a time to be grateful for our present and the dream of a better future; and an excuse for me to tell you how blessed I am for having you all in my life! Un tiempo de estar agradecidos por las bendiciones que tenemos día con día como estar saludables, ser amados y en sí de la vida, un tiempo para agradecer el presente que tenemos y soñar con un futuro mejor; y una excusa para mí para decirles lo agradecida que estoy de tenerlos en mi vida! SAPO'S DAIRY

Sometimes when I go out I get to late of work of simply Im not in the mood of taking outfit photos but always when I go out I take pictures of me, my friends and the place, Im a photo adict. Today on this post I'll show you something a little bit more personal, my friends and my night life.. The place is called Sapo's, that is the spanish word for toads, yeap I know a funny name for a place but the thematic is really nice, all green and when you go upstairs in the bar they have this swings, wich I think is really witty if you go drink something cause even when I was sober, it was hard getting to sit on them wihtout swinging sideways xD but it was so fun!

DISNEY GOES FASHION WITH BARNEY'S "ELECTRIC HOLIDAY"

For Christmas, Barney’s New York collaborated with Disney to create this fun and witty video mixing the fashion world with the Disney world. This great 5min video has already had some complaints by people saying that it’s unacceptable to make Minnie skinny blahblah… Watch as Minnie embarks on a fantastical fashion adventure in Paris, where she walks the runway in Lanvin and rubs elbows with fashion-world figures like Linda Evangelista, Daphne Guinness, Emmanuelle Alt, Sarah Jessica Parker and many more. THE NIGHT

I love fashion and how it can be so playfull, you can be a bohemian chic one day and the other a rocker one. But today I decided to play up a little more and transform myself into a princess. I'm a girl who loves black in clothes, that's when I saw this amazing, simple but gorgeous dress I knew it and I told myself "It has to be mine", the next thing I knew it was hanging in my closet ha ha The dress is so well made, with this sweet heart shape and see through leg side simple but elegant. I chose to wear them for my prom night. I think this will be my long version of the LBD. Hope you enjoy the photos of the photoshoot I had  with my friends and also some of the party..

SUCESS IS THE ABILITY TO GO FROM ONE FAILURE TO ANOTHER WITH NO LOSS OF ENTHUSIASM

This blog has been, is and will be part of my life.. Because of that I would like to share with you one of the latest happiest day in my life.. The day that I finished College, the day that I worn my final cap and gown, my graduation day! I started when I was 18 years old now I have 22.. 4 years has gone so fast, I remembered the first day like it was yesterday, I was wearing a sky blue T with the legend of  "Make cupcakes not war".. Now looking at this photos I see myself all grown up, I got my first job and I'm just so proud of myself. Hope you all a great day because me, well I can stop smiling :D

They say someone can get you the stars but what happend when you want the clouds? ha ha is not that I'm in the clouds for a boy but here where I live people says "you are in the clouds" when you like someone or when your thinking in something special! Hope you enjoy being in the clouds, literraly!

VLOG 3: Arucas

The third video is more long than the first two, here you can see one rommie of mine Fer and hear my other roomie Karen, in this video we started our adventure around the island of Gran Canaria where we rented a car, a petit Mercedes-Benz, that actually was one of the cheapest there in Europe (Can you believe in the Island they use them to be Taxis, and also some of the buses are MB, weird ha?) and we drove to some near small cities of the island.. VLOG 1: Playa de las Canteras

You might notice that I don't have the time to blog as I used to.. but, I decided that I will show you a series of videos that I have from last year when I was living in Europe. The first ones are pretty lame but really fun..

This first video is from the most amazing beach I've ever been is called "Playa de las Canteras" in the Canary Islands where I use to live and well, this is like a tradition of my own, in where I record myself giving a spin in  many of the places I have been. It all started in 2009 in Phoenix, AZ, USA. and I have been doing it since then... Hope you enjoy my funny goofy videos! And you can follow me through the Videofyme app for Iphone and Adroid.

DIY: Metalic Studded Clutch

Lately I've had a big obsession with gold so when I found this boring black clutch that use to be of my mother, I instantly tought about doing something with it because yes it was boring but stil a great clutch. It's really easy and I tought I could share this with you for spy it up a little bit some item that you might not like anymore and no spend in new ones, just spending a little but in the paint, the studs and glue.. So let's get started!! 

A NEW BEGINNING

We all hear stories about how amazing things happen to other blogger thanks to their blog and somethimes is hard to believe but when it happend to you is amazing knowing that someone believe in what you love and appreciate your hard work... Almost a mont ago I was contacted for by the crew of United Colors of Benetton in Mexico and they asked me to be the stylist and image advisor for their store here where I live.. Right now I just can say thank you UCB for believe in me and thank you all of you who have been in this amazing journey that will be in pause till I organized my time again but THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming here, leaving a coment, be a follower and everithing, this kind of thinks make me wanna do it more and better :D..

Todos hemos escuchado como cosas maravillosas pasan a otros bloggers gracias a sus blog y algunas veces no es difícil de creerlo pero cuando te suceden a ti, es increíblemente satisfactorio saber que alguien cree en lo que amas y reconoce tu trabajo duro.. Hace un poco más de un mes fui contactada por el equipo de United Colors of Benetton aquí en México y me pidieron que fuera la estilista y asesora de imagen para su tienda aquí en Hermosillo, SON... En estos momentos lo único que puedo decir is gracias UCB por creer en mi y gracias a todos ustedes que han estado durante todo este trayecto que tendrá que ponerse en pausa solo por un corto tiempo hasta que vuelva a organizar bien mi tiempo pero MUCHAS GRACIAS por venir a el blog, por dejar un comentario, por ser seguidores,simplemente con el hecho de que estén leyendo esto, esta clase de cosas es la que me da la fuerza para seguir y hacerlo mejor :D..

HFW: The Cocktail

Hermosillo Fashion Week has come to and end and what better way to say "see you later" than a cocktail party with some guests, have some delicious desserts and be able to meet and have a little talk with the designer Benito Santos. It was nice to meeting him and also know that there are some designer and a lot of cool people trying to make the mexican fashion industry bigger, better and bolder..

HFW: BENITO SANTOS

The Benito Santos fahion show of Hermosillo Fashion Week was the perfect end for this fashion shows. I have to admit that the whole show I was impatiently waiting for the amazing red dress that Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete worn when she was crowned as the most beautiful woman on earth. I wish I could have more event where I could use the dresses from this runway specially because I love the movement of the fabric in some onf them like the pink one, the beige one and of course the red one. This ws my first designer runway and be sure it wont be the last, so better watch out fashion world cause here I come...

HFW MEN'S FASHION : OVANDOS

 

Ovandos is a store for men sspecialized in shirts, suits and ties. The truth is that I wasn't very exited about this fashion show for me suit are all the same is really difficult they impress me but I actually enjoy the fashion show beside it was for the great models but also because they use simple suit outfits with cobalt blue, burgundy and purple on the ties, no ties or the infallible mix of white and black and some of them even lok more casual, that's one of the problems I have with suits, they tend to be a little bit too formal but they actually make them look very casual chic...

Fashion Weeks are one of the mayor events in fashion all around the world and we all know what are the biggest and important ones(New York, Paris, London and Milan). For a small city like mine, it has been always with local designers but ths time it has a mayor one (w will talk about that later but you probably already know). Hermosillo Fashion Weeks started with the runway of Ru Alta Costura by the designer Leonrdo Coello, his work is simple but elegant, colorful but no overwhelming, he makes great silhouettes with dresses that caught your eyes...

HMO

HMO is the abbreviation for Hermosillo, that is the name of the city in wich I live. It is located in the state of Sonora and it is also the capital of the state and is near to the boarder with Arizona (USA), is a desert city, with a hot weather as hell, that is why we call it Hellsillo xD This location that you see in these photos is a new park with a great dancing fountain that you see in the backgroung. I really like my city, is not a mayor one of Mexico but it is a great place (:

RIVERBANK

May I introduce you to Yaqui River in Sonora, MX. Mother nature was so wise when she created this stunning place! I went to my family to this spot to take a dip in the river. When the river arrives to this exact spot it is divided into two, the 1st is the one you can swim and the 2nd is the one it has not been properly explore to be called as safe and in this second part is where the photos took place. This part of the river even when it was so beautiful it was also still an unknown place for us so we took the photos and we were returning to the safe side when I slipped and almost fall into the water and it would have been a disaster cause I didn't brought extra clothes and also cause this was the first time I used the short I made, do you like them?..

BLUE LAGOON

This photos weren't actually meant to be for the blog but the place was so beautiful that I could not resist the temptation to share it with you. The place is called "Laguna del Nainari" (Nainari's Lagoon) and is one of the main attraction of Cd. Obregón (in the state of Sonora, MX) where people go chill a bit or simple go to walk around it, take a boat trip, see the dancing fountains or the most exciting one is take a canopy trip crossing all the lagoon.. BTW, have you notice that I made something different with my hair? Is not a big deal but form now on I'll try to make new thing and give my hair the beauty it deserves..

TLAQUEPAQUE

Mexico is such a beautiful place, ecah town has their own magical thing and Tlaquepaque is not the exception with all it ancient streets, mexican skulls, they craftsmanships, beautiful people and specially all the emanating colors that this little town gives to you while you are walking through it. It's just amazing and I can tell you without a doubt I LOVE MEXICO..

GUADALAJARA

Black and grey. With this two colors you can never go wrong but somethimes they're kinda boring so a little pop of color should be added that's why I decided not to use a black bag but anyway this beautiful city is Guadalajara, this was my second this city and it still surprise me with it beauty and awesome things specially this sculptures from a table, the wings and many chairs in all sizes. They are amazing right?

ON THE ROAD

The think I love about road trips is that you can actually see all the beautiful landscapes that you can't see when you're traveling by plain, yes is more confy and it take you a lot of less hours but seeing how wise is mother nature creating all those mountains, lakes, trees and all of that and even more here in Mexico that if you drive minimum 1 hr, the landscapes are so different but still so beautiful.. 

TANGELO

Have you ever wonder how many shades the color orange has? I do and I was searching for the exact match for my shirt and as the title says it's call Tangelo (I think it's also a fruit).  I read in a local magazing "Fashionista" (Edition April/May "The Spring Cocktail" 2012 No. 12)  that the color Tangerine Tango is the color of the year and I couldn't be more agree, this reddish orange hue translates bold, magnetic, and cheerful energy, that leave you with the feeling like you’ve been soaking up the sun... What do you think? Do you like the color?

FLORAL NEON

This photos were taken in some places that I've never been before it was called "Island of the Scorpions", and the "Chapala lake" that is the biggest lake in Mexico. I know wer're are almost heading fall but I can't avoid it, I'm in love with high waist shorts in all shapes and colors but I have been falling in love with all thing with flowers, even when they are the spring cliché. That day was so sunny and people stop and lokked at e cause my neon pink flat was shining even more with that amazing sun, even when it was going dark, all you could see was my flats ha ha I love them!

PLACES: EL SHRIMP BUCKET

Personally, when I go in a trip I like to eat the street food because that is the way I think you really try the local food but this time we made an exception. Let me introduce you this Restaurant/Hotel in Mazatlan called "EL Shrimp Bucket". The think that I like the most of this place was the decoration with all those different "types" of fish and of course good food too. If you have the chance and want to have a great meal in front of the beach, don't overthink it and go to this place, I know you will like it as much as I did..

NEUTRAL

While I was reading my emails there was one that caught my attention that says "It is possible to be a fashion/style blogger without using all the brands from Inditex?" And the answer is YES! There are tons of others brands and stores, I think it doesn't matter if you're wearing a high fashion brand or not, what really matter is how you put it together and if you like it, wear it as simple as that! and for showing you that, I made this outfit that I bought in a store in Tucson (except the shoes) called "Ross Dress For Less",  is a store that has so many "unknown" brands and some others very well known as Michael Kors (recently added), DKNY, Calvin Klein, Betsey Johnson, Steve Madden, Nine West, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. but for much affortable prices you can find items from 0.99$ untill 80$ or so.. In my wardrobe I have so many items from this unknown brands and I love them so don't be afraid, the only thing you should be afraid is of your own taste..

AQUARIUM

When it comes to see animals and 100 % up for it, I love animals, the more exotic the best so we went to the Aquarium to see a show of birds, sea ​​lions and watched many type of fish. It was so hot and sunny that day, you probably can tell for my super bright first two pics of me and my eyes are smaller than usual xD My sister told me that this outfit wasn't a good combo, she said "that skirt is to fancy for that denim shirt" and I told her "denim can be worn with everything, you use it everyday, I'm just using it backwards, the denim on the top and the other fabric on the bottom". What do you think should I have listened to her or not? For me it was a no, I was happy with my outfit (:

Cuando se trata de ver animales tengan por seguro que voy a querer hacerlo y entre mas exóticos mejor, es por eso que fuimos al acuario a ver un show de aves, lobos marinos y una gran variedad de peces. El dpia fue muy caluroso y soleado, creo que se pueden dar cuenta en las primeras dos fotos de mi con mis ojos un poco más pequeños de lo normal xD antes de ir hacia alla, mi hermana me dijo que mi combinación no se veia bien, en sí dijo "esa falda esta muy elegante para esa camisa de mezclilla" y yo le conteste "la mezclilla puede se usada con lo que sea, yo solo la estoy usando al revés, la mezclilla arriba  la otra tela abajo". Ustedes que opinan, debí de hacerle caso o no? Por lo menos a mi me gusta mi combinación y estoy feliz con mi outfit (:

S&S

You might be wondering why the S&S title, am I right? Well is simply the abbreviation for studs and stripes that is what I am wearing in this photos. I've been traveling almost 3 weeks now through 3 different counties of Mexico, driving tons of hours and just 1 suitcase! I'm dying for be able to play with my whole wardrobe back home but until that happens I'm gonna keep my simply and comfy outfits just like this one...

Se estarán preguntando preguntando porqué el titulo de S&S, verdad? Bueno es simplemente la abreviación de "Studs and Stripes" (Remaches y Rayas) que es lo que estoy usando en estas fotos. He estado viajando por casi ya por 3 semanas por 3 diferentes estados de México, manejando muchas horas y solo una maleta! Me encantaría poder tener todo mi armario conmigo y hacer más combinaciones pero hasta que eso pase y este de vuelta en casa, seguiré con mis outfits sencillos pero cómodos justo como este...
